Recursive Infinity - Endless Procedural AV Show.

Audio-visual live performance where endless visuals and music both follow the theme of recursive infinity: a never-ending fractal train journey through procedural abstract worlds, cities and space. Sound and procedural 3d graphics are further connected by real-time audio-visual synchronisation and, although interminable, the show features 15 scenes and loops at 60 minutes. This is a teaser of the first 5 scenes.

Visuals made by evvvvil (DESiRE demoscene group & DVA coder group) in HLSL shader code, rendered in real-time in vvvv toolkit using own procedural raymarching library "Izpi Ibiltzen", controlled live with LaunchCONTROL XL controller. NO 3D MODELS, NO POST-PRODUCTION.

A spectacular custom creative for a Korean department store group.

South Korean retail giant Shinsegae Corporation engaged Montreal’s Moment Factory to create custom creative for the 6-storey LED centrepiece of a new shopping and entertainment complex in Daegu, south of Seoul.

Hired only weeks before the public opening, says the experiential agency, Moment Factory applied our broad experience in entertainment to rapidly activate the teams required to design and produce four distinct, awe-inspiring content pieces: Identity tricks the eye with 3D trompe-l’oeil architectural transformations, Luxury Box transports visitors deep into imaginary crystallizations of precious materials, Static Beauty livens up the mood with the story of fashion accessory paradise, while Rooms is an engaging, romantic comedy music video.

In the Zone (360)

A short piece edited down from a 3-hour live remix session of several episodes of the Twilight Zone television series in which out of context emotional gestures heighten the surreal sense of wonder and confusion that was the show’s hallmark back in the day. Music: My Funky Bro by Ethnomite Pux.

Dancers from another planet.

A great way to create life like 3D characters is to digitize the essence of real people, using camera’s and software to ‘capture’ their postures and motions. This digital model is then ‘dressed’ with computer generated flesh and skin. Method Studios took this to the max using absolutely incredible textures and physics simulations. This video is meant as a showcase of what they can do with advertisers logo’s and identities. So it just goes on and on…

beautiful emptiness

Literally central to the work of Michael and Florian Quistrebert is a triptych of three screens. This flame make ever-changing colors. I think it's good, because they show how skillfully abstract image shaping and projecting. Without pretense of a deeper layer, moreover, they call it not for nothing Void Fires. This approach works fine as decorative moving art. Put it down at the airport or in the office lobby!

Digital Signage Methods.

Looking to get started with digital signage, but unsure of the best way to get content showing on your displays? There are numerous options to consider when choosing between a DIY job or a cloud-based service. It all comes down to what is most important for your team.

Here, we give an overview of three popular options for digital signage: Cloud-Based, DIY Solutions, and USB Stick.

cloudsign

Cloud Based: Your digital signage company handles all of the technical backend functions including hosting your content, software updates, and security regulations. Cloud-based digital signage allows for simple remote management where you’ll pay a monthly or annual fee for the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provided.

Some SaaS companies will provide a media player to you or give the option to purchase one. Others will only provide the software and you will need to source and maintain your own player.

DIY Solutions: Your IT team or contractor will develop a media player and content management system. Custom solutions typically involve connecting computers or small devices like Raspberry Pi (more on this in the next section) to your screens and creating your own content management system. You’ll need to use your servers to connect your management system with your player.  Open source DIY signage options like Xibo, and Concerto are available for you to to download and customize.

USB Stick: Certain displays, including most modern televisions, have the option of playing back content from a USB drive. The specific capabilities will differ from display to display, but the functionality is usually limited to a slideshow of images and videos of specific file types. You don’t need additional hardware or software since your content is stored locally on the player.

We recommend a cloud-based solution for several reasons, but it is understandable why you would consider doing-it-yourself. Some of our own customers tried to go the DIY route before choosing Enplug. For companies who want to DIY but need to power multiple screens across multiple locations, you’ll have to explore more technical DIY signage methods.

If you only need to display simple content like a continuous series of graphics, the USB option is plausible. Since the USB option is so limited, we’re covering DIY signage and cloud-based solutions in more depth.
