MoMu Wall in Mode museum Antwerpen.

MoMu Outdoor multi touch wall to explore the inside collection plus archive.
5 m x 1,5 m interactive installation.

These days museums have large parts of their collection locked away in huge archives.

The Fashion Museum of Antwerp (MoMu) tranforms this problem in of their strengths by digitally unlocking their hidden treasures. The interactive wall was a concept initiated by Studio Dos Santos. Under his supervision Momu assigned Lab101 to set up a team to work on the creative and technical challenges. Holocube build the installation in a way that even when the museum is closed the people can touch outdoors through the inside collection. ( + 1000 textiles)

The setup runs from a single computer rendering 8xHD at a resolution of7680x2160 at 60fps spanning a physical area of 10m2. All heavy image rendering and video processing is done by a node.js CMS in combination with phantom.js running on a Linux server.

The whole setup supports 80 simultaneous touches.

Together with the current exhibition of Belgium number one fashion designer Dries Van Noten , Inspirations, this Momu museum explorer became a big success.
