Anna = Virtual and Interactive Promotion.

The virtual promoter combines online and offline communication, thus setting a new digital and interactive trend in visual merchandising. Holographically depicted digital content at the POS lets customers make contact with a retailer outside at the shop window. They can use gestures to interact with and control the virtual promoter. The vendor benefits from increased traffic, while customers can obtain product information from a multimedia presentation and even make purchases outside store hours. Industry insiders see this technology as the next evolutionary stage in digital signage, dubbing it “interactive signage”. This, they say, is the “killer app” in the digitization of the point of sale that is now getting underway.
