SF Public Utilities Commission.
When SFPUC remodeled their lobby, they saw an opportunity to create an educational art piece as outreach to the San Francisco community. Obscura’s technology and creative vision made the piece a successful installation.
The Digital Arts Panorama stands four feet tall and spans 58 feet. It features live data, graphic visualizations, an interactive platform, and ambient music. The installation turns the building’s lobby into a real-time dashboard with updates on the Commission’s activity and the performance of their LEED Platinum-certified headquarters. Gesture-controlled real-time news populates the screen as visitors interact with the dynamic, intelligent system.
Obscura’s motion-responsive visuals and sound effects for the installation include “Snowfall to Outfall”, “Media Stream”, “Dashboard”, and “Interactive Art Mode”. Each provides an educational, entertaining experience and offers glimpses into SFPUC’s future plans.

Three-dimensional projection inside a sphere has been used to create the illusion of objects floating within a globe. The system, called Spheree, also supports interaction with the objects and allows viewers to view multiple angles from different points around the display. It was developed by researchers at the University of São Paulo, in Brazil, and University of British Columbia, in Canada.
Optical tracking supports head-coupled rendering to provide motion parallax-based 3D depth cues and Spheree supports direct interaction techniques. It can be used as a design tool with the ability to modify existing models via a 3D interaction interface on the sphere.
Final models can be exported or printed on a 3D printer. Spheree is scalable and can use larger projectors for a larger display. The research team has tested a 20-in diameter, eight pico-projector unit as well as a 7-in four pico-projector option.

Spheree uses calibrated pico-projectors to create a seamless rear-projected display within a spherical display surface. The system automatically calibrates and blends the projectors using a standard webcam.

Nike creates LED motion-tracking basketball court.
LEDs are being phased into use everywhere from living rooms to offices to car headlights to street-lighting. Whilst these uses are practical, for something a little more exciting we can look to Nike. Its House of Mamba basketball court uses an LED surface for graphics, video and player-tracking.
This is not the first time LEDs have been employed for use in sports courts. Both the LEDSSPORT Pulastic LED Court and the ASB GlassFloor use LEDs to provide court markings. Different sets of markings can be easily switched between, and it avoids the need for a multicolored clutter of lines being printed on the court surface. The House of Mamba court, however, is somewhat more advanced.
The court was created by AKQA, Rhizomatiks and WiSpark as part of theNike Rise basketball contest and reality show based in China. Shortlisted contestants were mentored by LeBron James and Kobe Bryant before a selected group contested in a final match and the chance to participate in the Nike World Basketball Festival this September.
The mentoring part of the show took place at the House of Mamba court in Shanghai. The court took about three months to create, from the conceptual design stage through to its fabrication and testing. It has a wooden base layer platform to provide a natural bounce, followed by a layer of over a thousand 2 x 2 ft (0.6 x 0.6 m) interlaced LED screens, a layer of thick glass on top of the screens and an adhesive basketball surface that provides bounce and grip covering the glass layer.
The court, named after Bryant's "Black Mamba" nickname, uses sensors for motion tracking, artificial intelligence and reactive LED technology to display a range of different graphics. The technology is primarily used for training purposes. LED visualizations are used to guide players through a variety of challenges and training drills. The entire playing surface can be used simulate different game scenarios or specific training exercises based on what is required at the time.
Training exercises that the court can run include a sequence of fundamental skills drills, a test of shooting prowess from different spots on the court, dribbling drills and a defense drill using a digital defender.
The video below provides an introduction to Nike's House of Mamba LED basketball court.

Rear Projection
Self-adhesive film for multimedia applications in shops, exhibitions, offices, malls or public buildings. The white translucent film is applied behind glass surfaces. With a projector movies are projected on the film, making it visible from outside for eye-catching and large format advertising.

Diners can now order food without a waiter through the use of tabletop displays and integrated technology created by Ukrainian firm Kodisoft. The company wants to transform the restaurant experience so that it’s possible for someone to order their food, play interactive games with their fellow diners, see what there is to do in the locality that evening and then book a taxi to take them there – all without saying a word to a member of staff. Other ideas at bringing interactivity into the dining sphere has seen peoples’ mobile devices mooted as a method to order food - as Kodisoft also does as among its services – but the core of its offerings consist of more integrated solutions. While the concept may sound like an antisocial proposal, the company sees the technology as encouraging interaction between diners while enabling them to do things like research the food options in their preferred language or even watching a live feed from the kitchen while the chefs are preparing their meals.
As well as offering tabletop displays in the dimensions of traditional restaurant tables, the company offers slimmer and wider versions for fast food counters and others aimed at nightclubs and cafes.
Two restaurants have been fitted out so far, the Oshi Asian Interactive Restaurant in Cyprus and the Ebony Interactive Restaurant in Dubai.
Kodisoft offers interested parties help developing the concept of their eatery, its cuisine, its corporate identity, interior, equipment and consequent promotion. The company entered the interactive dining market having developed software for interactive projects for global clients over the past decade.

OLED-TV- 55 Zoll um unglaubliche 3.500 Dollar.
Bron; www.oled.at
