In the lead-up to the United Nations Secretary-General’s Climate Summit the United Nations Department of Public Information presented illUmiNations: Protecting Our Planet organized in partnership with the Oceanic Preservation Society and Obscura Digital. The spectacular 30-story architectural projection show, which took place on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 8:00pm – 11:00pm ET, was designed to inspire global citizens to take climate action and demand leaders to protect the world’s ecosystems. The visual showcase created by OPS and Obscura, was funded by TheDodo.com and the Lerer Family Foundation as well as an anonymous donor, and produced in conjunction with Okeanos – Foundation for the Sea, Vulcan Productions and Millennium ART.
