PaperPhone flexible display for future smartphone.

The smartphones, laptops and other devices will have in future flexible displays, of this we are convinced. In support of this statement comes a new technology created by researchers at Queen’s University Human Media Lab. To demonstrate the technology the researchers created a device called PaperPhone, a device that simulates a flexible iPhone.
Technology that allows a screen to be flexible brings benefits of any device which is integrated. For example a smartphone with a flexible screen occupy a much smaller space and energy consumption is also very small.
This new technology can be integrated into smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Also is a touch screen technology that can allow you to work with a pen.
Working mode with the screen is a little bit strange, to have access at the contact from the agenda the screen should be bent, and for other actions to do the same thing as shown in the demonstration below.
Also in the video below you can see a 9.5 cm diagonal thin film flexible E Ink display.
In the near future will be devices that will have integrated flexible and transparent displays. Whether if electronic manufacturers will apply this technologies or not, certainly we will have such of devices in the coming years.

Pliée, the flexible display.

Pliée are flexible LED screens, beautifully integrated in textiles. Pliée offers you the dynamics of a full colour, digital display, with the elegance and versatility of cloth. Pliée’s are 4,5 cm thin and can bend around curves and collumns.
Pliée takes LED-curtain technology to the next level, combining flexible screens with textile fronts to create an attractive look and feel. With a 20 mm pixel pitch for clear video and graphics from 5 m viewing distances. And a diffusing cover for soft impressions nearby, avoiding the hard pixelated views of traditional LED walls. Ideal eye-candy for your stand, store or interior design.

Forever 21.
Leading fashion retailer, Forever 21, has creatively merged two industries together to present consumers with a fashion first - digital runway shows. The retailer made jaws drop in Vienna, Austria on Monday as they executed the first of eight holographic fashion shows around the world. With the production help of space150, the show gave invitees the chance to see the latest fashion trends in a runway show comprised entirely of holographic models.
That’s right. Holographic. It’s more than just images on a screen, though. It’s 3-D models walking an invisible staircase and disappearing into starbursts. Have a look at the fashion-forward 3-D show.

Microsoft's home of the future.

Microsoft Home is a sort of "world of tomorrow" for the computer nerd set where Surface takes the place of video phones and dinner pills. The only difference is that, unlike those World's Fair staples, Redmond's vision of the not-so-distant future isn't open to the public. This is a private testing ground where researchers can try out concepts, like a watch that records health data and syncs it with your home network or a media center that can analyze video and identify products and locations featured on screen. You might not be able to swing by the campus and visit, but you can catch a glimpse of suburban life in 2025

Acer all in one PC met Air Control.

The Lexus CT Hybrid 3D Art Projection.
Here’s video from the recent Earth Day (well, night in this case) promotional launch for the new Lexus CT 200h hybrid.
Pearl Media used the old Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel as its canvas, and transformed the building into a live,8,000 sq. ft. 3D building projection. Using long-throw projectors, lighting, sound, shadows and animation mapped to the contours of the building, you can see how various visuals pop from the facade. Some of the 3d projection mapping I have seen has been cool but not all that three-dimensional. This clearly was. Nicely done.
