Ceiling projections.

The Ellen MacArthur Foundation works to promote sustainability and the circular economy, so the circular ceiling of the Faraday Theatre was the perfect video-mapping canvas for its annual summit. Inspired by the organisation's circle-based branding. ProjectionArtworks created three projection stings to set off each session, plus individual animations to introduce each one of twelve speakers to the stage.

The physics

We used the venue's existing projector to cover the back wall, and two additional upturned HD projectors for the theatre's circular ceiling. The projection was made up of three sting effects, fourteen individual introductions and a series of ambient effects, which were all queued up automatically with a custom media server.
