The company latest 3D Led Video Wall measuring 10.453 meters wide by 2.352 meters tall , 35 feet wide and eight feet tall is a mammoth!!

It has a total resolution of 2240 x 504 with a 4.66 mm pixel pitch making this a definite candidate for a place where volume is important than pixel density.

A brightness of over 2000 nits and a 4000:1 contrast ratio means outdoor work is possible. If you also want 3D you will have to buy active-shutter glasses.

Mega TouchScreen.

This is a 33-foot-long curved touchscreen, hacked together by the University of Groningen. Three computers handle the touch detection, one processes it all. It uses six cameras and 16 infrared emitters, plus two or three men to poke around awkwardly in front of it for your amusement. It is fantastic!! Take a look at the video ..

Elektronicaproducenten lijden verlies op tv-verkopen.

Bijna alle grote elektronicaproducenten hebben in het vierde kwartaal van 2010 verlies op de verkoop van platte televisies geleden. De fabrikanten hebben allemaal te kampen met detaillisten die van hun voorraden af moeten en de prijzen daarom verlagen.

Sony meldde een negatief resultaat van 13 miljard yen (115 miljoen euro) op de verkoop van TV`s in het vierde kwartaal. Wel verkocht het concern de laatste drie maanden van 2010 meer televisies: 7,9 miljoen stuks tegen 5,4 miljoen dezelfde periode 2009. Panasonic, de grootste concurrent van Sony op de Japanse markt, verkocht er 6,4 miljoen. Samsung is nog steeds marktleider met 12,7 miljoen TV`s, een stijging van 17%, gevolgd door LG met 8,7 miljoen.
Philips speelt een steeds kleinere rol op de TV-markt. De producent wilde 2010 met winst voor de TV-divisie afsluiten, maar is daar niet in geslaagd. In het vierde kwartaal werd een verlies van 69 miljoen euro op deze activiteit geleden.

Tablet computer van Pioneer.

Pioneer is een verrassende nieuwe speler op de Tablet computer markt. Hun versie van de iPad heet heel origineel ePad.

Pioneer DreamBook ePad F10. Het is een 10 inch tablet computer die gebruik maakt van Windows als besturingssysteem. Dat is opvallend omdat Android bij dit soort computers gebruikelijker is. Maar de Pioneer DreamBook ePad F10 is geen gewone tablet, de specificaties zijn beter dan die van de meeste Android concurrenten.

De Pioneer tablet computer beschikt over een 1.5 GHz Intel Z670 Oak Trail processor en er is 2GB geheugen aan boord. De opslag van data vindt plaats op een SSD (van 16GB of 128GB) of op een SD geheugenkaartje.
Dankzij een simkaartslot kan de tablet ook als telefoon worden gebruikt. WiFi en 3G zijn optioneel. Voor videotelefonie is een camera aanwezig.
Kortom, de Pioneer DreamBook ePad F10 laat de meeste tablet computers en netbooks achter zich en biedt de mogelijkheden van een eenvoudige laptop.

Wat deze tablet computer moet gaan kosten en wanneer hij op de markt komt is nog niet bekend gemaakt.

LED Handwritten Menu Sign Boards.

Anytime I go out, I see at least one neon menu sign sitting somewhere. These kinds of signs never seem to fully catch my attention because they’re not LEDs. As lame as that may sound, it’s true. I am like a mosquito a lamp for LED lights, and now that there are LED Flourescent Writing Boards, there’s a good chance you’ll see me standing bug-eyed in front of it.

These writing boards will be whatever you want them to be. Whether you need a menu board, business sign, or what have you, this sign is completely up to you as you write whatever you want on it. There are seven different colored lights and a dozen flashing modes. This sign will be so flashy and bright that you’ll think it’s starting to look like a triple rainbow. Holographic announcers.

London Luton Airport has become one of the first airport in the world to introduce holographic announcers.

The project is part of a series of initiatives aimed at simplifying the security process at the airport.

Custom designed for London Luton Airport, the holograms, in both male and female versions, are technically referred to as tensator virtual assistants.
Security
The holograms will initially be used in the airport's security search area to communicate important security messages as passengers pass from check-in to the departure lounge
Glyn Jones, Managing Director London Luton Airport, said: "We wanted an application that would do two things; be really compelling from a communications point of view, and also to be really consistent.
"Holly and Graham are not going to have a hangover; they're not going to have a row with their partner the night before.
"They're going to say exactly the same thing in exactly the same way, in a way which we think is extremely compelling."
